New Technologies 2018
Curriculum Vitae

(Valencia, 54 years old) Doctor of Chemical Sciences, Professor of University, director of the Interuniversity Institute for Molecular Recognition and Technological Development (IDM) and scientific director of the CIBER-BBN of the Carlos III Health Institute, has coordinated 99 national and Europeans projects.Professor Martínez-Máñez has worked for more than 25 years in the design of molecular probes and chemical sensors, which allow to observe modifications in the molecules that cause color changes in sensors or fluorescence. In this way, he has achieved very reliable sensors for clinical diagnosis, changes in the environment and control of food quality with applications in agriculture and nanomedicine. His research in this field has been pioneering. He has published a total of 393 articles in different scientific journals with a high impact index.Professor Martínez develops his work in the Department of Chemistry of the UPV.
