She has around 20 years’ experience in the electricity sector in Spain, the United States and Germany, in both the generation and supply of electricity and gas. She has completed business management programmes at IESE and New York University.
She has received various awards, notably the 2018 Executive of the Year Award from the Spanish Management Association (ADE); the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Award from Fedepe (Spanish Federation of Women Executives and Entrepreneurs); and the Innovation Award from FIDEM (International Foundation for Women Entrepreneurs). She was named one of the most creative people of 2016 by Forbes.
Jury rulingThe jury for the Rei Jaume I Entrepreneur Prize, meeting in Valencia, has decided by consensus to award the 2019 prize to Ms Carlota Pí Amorós.
Three aspects in particular were taken into account:

She is committed to the use of renewable energy and self-consumption with the aim of reducing costs for users through the application of new technologies.
Her ambition is evident in her track record of steady growth and her focus on the next step towards energy transition and the transformation of the sector.
She is a courageous, innovative and highly qualified woman, whose company focuses on customer satisfaction. She is a source of personal and professional inspiration for the young women to whom the prize will be awarded to support their advancement in the field of technology.
