(Valencia, 1964) He holds a degree in Business Studies from the University of Valencia. In 1994, he founded JEANOLOGIA S.L., a company he now runs and which, over the past 20 years, has become the world leader in eco-friendly and sustainable technologies for the textile sector. He has positioned Jeanología as a technology company specialising in garment finishing, primarily denim, taking a further step into the production of jeans. He is transforming the textile industry by creating products that are cost-effective, sustainable, innovative, user-friendly and safe for workers.

The jury for the Rei Jaume I Entrepreneur Prize has highlighted that he embodies, in a robust and unmistakable way, the values associated with entrepreneurship, Silla innovates by optimising the ageing process for denim garments – a process that was originally chemical – transforming it into a more sustainable one thanks to the laser technology he has developed. He envisaged that jeans would be the garment of the 21st century. Jeanología is a business venture forged from observation and the pursuit of a dream to improve our environment. His career path is that of an entrepreneur passionate about work, effort, the capacity for sacrifice and humility – someone who recognises that opportunities arise from mistakes and experimentation. He embodies the challenge of making a difference to his social environment by creating jobs, generating wealth and providing high-impact technological solutions.
