Jury ruling

The jury for the Rei Jaume I Prize for Urban Planning, Landscape and Sustainability, meeting in Valencia, has unanimously decided to award the 2008 prize to Mr Manuel de Solá-Morales Rubió.

This is in recognition of his pioneering work as Spain’s most distinguished urban planner, who, throughout his long professional career, has succeeded in integrating and combining sustainability with urban planning and landscape design from a long-term perspective.
