Jury rulingThe jury for the Rei Jaume I New Technologies Prize, meeting in Valencia, has unanimously decided to award the 2001 prize to Mr Eduardo Primo Yúfera.
This is in recognition of the work he has carried out throughout his life, through pioneering and decisive contributions in the agri-food sector, by introducing new technologies. These contributions, together with his work in agricultural and ecological chemistry, have had a major impact on the technological, industrial and agricultural sectors.
His research and the leadership he has shown throughout his career at the Polytechnic University of Valencia and the Spanish National Research Council have left a lasting mark on the integration of science and technology to improve citizens’ quality of life.
