Jury ruling

The jury for the Rei Jaume I Prize for Clinical Medicine, meeting in Elche (Alicante), has unanimously decided to award the 1994 prize to Mr Francisco Navarro López.

This is in recognition of his work in training numerous prestigious specialists who have formed a school of thought within Spanish cardiology, many of whose members hold prominent positions both in Spanish medicine and in hospitals abroad.

He has also played an active role in various national and international cardiology associations, having served as president of both the Spanish and Catalan Societies for the speciality.
