The jury for the Rei Jaume I Prize for Basic Research, meeting in Valencia, has unanimously decided to award the 2012 prize to Mr Nazario Martín León.

For his extraordinary contributions in the field of supramolecular chemistry, particularly in combining fullerene chemistry with nanotechnology.
