Jury ruling

The jury for the Rey Jaime I Economics Prize, meeting in Valencia, has unanimously decided to award the 1992 prize to Mr Álvaro Cuervo García.

This is in recognition of his contributions to the analysis of the Spanish financial system and corporate finance, as well as his work in the field of public enterprises. In these areas, his contributions have substantially improved our understanding of the current situation. His work in the field of business management and the restructuring of the Spanish financial system is also particularly noteworthy.
