He has carried out pioneering work on human endometrial receptivity disorders, a major cause of infertility worldwide. His group was the first in Spain to culture human embryonic stem cell lines for clinical use and the sixth worldwide. In addition to his significant impact on research and clinical practice, he has stimulated the biotechnology sector with numerous national and international patents.
