Jury ruling

The jury for the Rei Jaume I Prize for Basic Research, meeting in Valencia, has unanimously decided to award the 2008 prize to Mr José Bernabéu Alberola.

This is in recognition of his significant contributions to high-energy physics, in particular his landmark LEP experiments at CERN, and for his role in the organisation of physics in Spain.
