(Madrid, 71 years old) PhD in Chemical Sciences, founder and director of the Intelligent Biomaterials Research Group of the Complutense University of Madrid, member of the Biomedical Research Center in the Bioengineering, Biomaterials and Nanomedicine network (CIBER BBN) and Health Research Institute of the Hospital 12 de Octubre. Vallet has an ERC Advanced Grant to work on polyvalent moseoporous nanosystems for bone diseases.Leader of more than 100 research projects in R & D and scientific networks.She is a pioneer in Spain in the teaching of biomaterials.
Jury rulingThe jury of the Rei Jaume I Basic Research Award 2018 has been unanimously awarded to Dr. MARÍA VALLET REGÍ, for her pioneering work in the field of mesoporous ceramic materials with biomedical applications, particularly in the regeneration of bone tissue.
