The deadline for submitting candidates for the 2026 Rei Jaume I Prizes is open
09 | 12 | 2025From 8 December 2025 until 16 March 2026, the deadline for submitting nominations for the new 2026 Rei Jaume I Prizes winners is open.
Visit the foundation’s website at www.fprj.es and fill out the documents located in the “Call” section, under RJI Prizes. You can also consult the bases for these prizes, which state that candidates must have carried out most of their work in Spain. This means that those whose work is carried out outside Spain are not eligible. The intention is to recognize the work carried out in our country as a turning point to encourage the development of science and entrepreneurship in Spain.
The deadline for applications is March 16, after which deliberations will begin on the first Monday and Tuesday of June each year, attended by more than twenty Nobel laureates, among many other renowned professionals from the worlds of science and business, who will gather in Valencia on those dates.
The seven winners will be announced on 2 June, and the Prize-giving will be held in the fall, according to the calendar set by the Royal Household, under the chairmanship of his Majesty King Felipe VI.
